Black Peppercorn Steak

Black Peppercorn Steak

The flavors of black peppercorn beautifully enhance the overall taste of this steak dish. Here is the recipe to follow:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) beef steak (such as sirloin or flank), thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly cracked black peppercorns
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions:

In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Add to it sliced beef and toss until well coated. Let it marinate for about 15-30 minutes. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet on medium-high heat. Add the sliced bell peppers and onion and cook until they start to soften. It is time to add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.

Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the marinated beef to the other side. Spread it out into a single layer and let it cook for 1-2 minutes to sear. Stir-fry the beef until it's cooked to your desired doneness, Sprinkle the freshly cracked black peppercorns over the beef and vegetables. Stir to combine everything evenly. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve it over cooked noodles or rice.
