These healthy and flavorful black pepper mushrooms are a treat. Enjoy a bust of flavors with these easy to cook mushrooms with steamed rice.
Ingredients:
- 500g mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce (for color, optional)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for thickening, optional)
- 1 tablespoon coarsely ground black pepper
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok on medium heat and add sliced onions and minced garlic.
- Cook them for 2-3 minutes and then add sliced mushroom.
- Stir fry them for 5-7 minutes to have them golden brown and cooked.
- Add sliced bell peppers and cook for additional 2-3 minutes.
- Add soy sauce and dark soy sauce. Toss the vegetables and allow sauce to simmer for coupe of minutes. If you want thicker sauce then you can add some cornstarch and cook it for another minute to get the desired consistency.
- Sprinkle coarsely ground black pepper and salt and your divine mushrooms are ready.
