Packed with the goodness of proteins and Omega-3 fatty acids, this tuna recipe is a delightful main course dish that can be served with steamed rice.
Ingredients:
- 2 tuna steaks (about 6-8 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons black pepper powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
Season both sides of the tuna steaks with a pinch of salt. Press the ground black pepper onto both sides of tuna steaks to have them coated evenly.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet or frying pan on medium-high heat until hot. Place the tuna steaks in the hot skillet and cook for about 1-2 minutes per side for rare to medium-rare doneness.
Once cooked to your liking, remove the tuna steaks from the skillet and transfer them to a cutting board. Let them rest for a minute or two before slicing. Slice the tuna steaks thinly against the grain and arrange them on a serving platter. Serve the black pepper crusted tuna slices with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the fish, if desired. Serve it with steamed rice or salad.
