Cheese Omelet

A tasteful breakfast recipe that is rich in proteins. Try this quick and easy recipe to kickstart your mornings with a wholesome meal.

Ingredients:

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk or water
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss)
  • 1 tablespoon butter or cooking oil

Instructions:

Crack the eggs and whisk them together with the milk or water until well combined. Season with salt and a generous amount of freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the butter/ cooking oil. Allow it to melt and coat the bottom of the skillet evenly. Pour the whisked eggs into the pan, swirling to spread them out evenly.

When the omelet is mostly set but still slightly runny on top, sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over one half of the omelet. Carefully fold the other half of the omelet over the cheese to form a half-moon shape. Press down gently with the spatula to seal the omelet. Cook for another minute, allowing the cheese to melt and the omelet to finish cooking through.

Slide the omelet onto a plate and serve hot. You can garnish with additional freshly ground black pepper and chopped herbs if desired.
