Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- Taco shells or tortillas
- Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, avocado, sour cream, salsa
Instructions:
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until softened.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Keep breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
- Stir in the cumin powder, paprika, chili powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper powder. Add the tomato sauce and water.
- Stir to combine and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
- Serve the beef mixture in taco shells or tortillas, with your choice of toppings.
