Beef Tacos with Cumin

Prepare beef tacos spiced with the robust flavor of cumin to have them in main course or as snacks. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Taco shells or tortillas
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, avocado, sour cream, salsa

Instructions:

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and cook until softened.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Keep breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
  • Stir in the cumin powder, paprika, chili powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper powder. Add the tomato sauce and water.
  • Stir to combine and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
  • Serve the beef mixture in taco shells or tortillas, with your choice of toppings.
