Garlic Pepper Chicken Recipe

Garlic Pepper Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

    • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
    • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, paprika, and onion powder.
  2. Cook the Chicken:

    • Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the butter is melted and the mixture is hot.
    • Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Pepper Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
    • Add the chicken broth and lemon juice, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Combine and Serve:

    • Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over the top.
    • Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
    • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
  5. Serve:

    • Serve the garlic pepper chicken hot, with lemon wedges on the side for extra flavor.

Notes:

  • This dish pairs well with a side of steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad.
  • For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.

Enjoy your delicious Garlic Pepper Chicken!
