Cottage Cheese Curry with Coriander Seeds

A flavorful curry to serve with Indian flatbread or steamed rice. Follow the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cottage cheese, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro (coriander) leaves for garnish

Instructions:

Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the coriander seeds and toast them until fragrant. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until it turns translucent. Add the chopped tomato and cook until the tomatoes soften. Add the turmeric powder and cumin powder, and cook for another minute. Time to add the cubed cottage cheese.

Gently mix everything together. Cook for 2-3 minutes to allow the cottage cheese to absorb the flavors. Season with coriander leaves and serve hot.
