Spiced Apple Compote

Ingredients:

  • 3 apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 whole cloves
  • 3–4 black peppercorns
  • 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions:

In a small saucepan, combine apples, water, cinnamon, cloves, and peppercorns. Simmer on medium heat for 10–12 minutes until apples are soft. Remove whole spices and mash lightly. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired.

Perfect for breakfast oatmeal, yogurt topping, or a quick snack.
