A unique take on the classic Italian dessert with the aromatic infusion of fennel seeds.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons gelatin powder
- Fresh berries for topping (optional)
Instructions:
In a small saucepan, heat the cream, milk, sugar, and fennel seeds over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is warm.
Remove from heat and let the fennel seeds steep for 10 minutes. Strain out the seeds.
Sprinkle the gelatin over a little cold water to bloom, then stir it into the warm cream mixture until dissolved. Add vanilla extract and pour the mixture into small molds. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set. Top with fresh berries before serving.
