Cool off this summer with a refreshing fennel seed lemonade, elevated by a burst of mint and a hint of fragrant rose water for an unforgettable twist.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon rose water
- A handful of fresh mint leaves
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions:
In a small saucepan, bring the 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the fennel seeds and let them simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow it to cool to room temperature.
Once the fennel-infused water has cooled, strain out the fennel seeds, leaving only the aromatic water.
In a pitcher, combine the fennel-infused water with fresh lemon juice and honey or agave syrup. Stir well to dissolve the sweetener.
Add a few drops for a fragrant floral note. Stir again to combine.
Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the fennel lemonade over, and garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices.
